Linux

Linux is the OS I actually think in. Every server I touch, whether it's for work or one of my own projects, starts from the same place: a shell prompt.

At sys-fn.de I administered Linux systems day to day, alongside Ubiquiti networking gear, and handle 2nd & 3rd level support when something breaks. Before that, my apprenticeship put me on IBM systems running Linux workloads next to DB2, SAN storage, and backups. So I got comfortable with Linux both as a lightweight personal tool and as the base of something a business actually depends on.

Day to day that means package management, systemd services, users and permissions, and enough shell scripting to automate the boring parts. It's also just the platform I build on. Klar runs on Linux, and so does most of the tooling behind this site.
